Huntington Reservoir
#1
[cool]Fished Huntington on saturday. The ice near the damn was about 10" thick and on the south west corner was about 8 or 9" thick. Beautiful day for ice fishing. Fishing was a little slow for us, However several groupd were catching fairly fast. We caught fish on rat finky, pearl tube jigs, white whata crickets, glow in the dark tube jigs, tipped or not with meal worms and night crawlers. This was the first time I have been to huntington, the bites were VERY !! light, not like last week at scofield were they were very agressive. However on one occasion I was not paying attention and just grabbed my pole as the reel went under water. Once hooked the tiger trout fought a lot harder than the cuts from strawberry.
