rockport or jordanelle?

drove up from vegas for the big cabelas event. what a great place. we got there at 7:45, got in and speant 6 hourd there. i loved it, worth the trip. anyway i'll have 1 day to fish up here, sunday morning. the old standby is jordanelle, but i wanted to try something different. only fished rocport through the ice but i wanna try it from my tube. how's it lookin' up there these days? whats workin' and where is a good spot for tubing? i'll be chasin' any and all types of fish(bass mostly). or is jordanelle better? thanx.

THIS YEAR I HAVE HREARD THAT JORDENELL HAS PRODUCED THE BEST SMALLMOUTH BASS FISHING PEOPLE HAVE COAGHT ALOT OF NICE ONES OUT THIER TO JUST REMEMBER THE REGULATIONS WHEN YOU HEAD OUT PEOPLE HAVE BEEN CARLESS THIS YEAR AND ARE KEEPING THE TROPHY SMALLIES THEY CATCH FROM WHAT I HAVE HEARD I THINK YOUR BEST BET IS JORDENELL THEY ALSO HAVE SOME HEFTY BROWNS I HEARD WHEN THE DWR WAS GILL NETTING THE CAME ACCROSS A 20 LB BROWN AND ALOT OF TROPHY SMALLIES []

If you were a local, I would say try Rockport for a change of scenery and pace. But since you traveling a long distance, you might want to try Jordanelle because it offers more varied opportunities for fishing and/or recreation. Both waters have reasonable tube access , but again, Jordanelle seems to be more accomodating in that area as well. Good luck, and be sure to let us know how you did.

i am still a local, at least i cosider myself to be. i lived my whole life here and have fished jordanelle religiously for years. i have had the misfortune of living in vegas for the last year but i still get up here once a month for some fishin'. i have fished rockport through the ice plenty but never really in the summer cuz i'm always drawn to jordanelle[]. i just thought perhaps i'd try rockport for something different this time. i heard there may be some good action for smaller bass and jordanelle gets so crammed full of peole i thought maybe rockport would be a good change of pace[angelic].

Sorry about that. I thought you were just passing through. Since you know the area, Rockport would be a change of pace from Jordanelle - except on weekends, they look very similar in terms of crowds these days. Hope you can get some fishing in while your up here. Let us know how it was.
