Bored here at work wishing I was at home loading the camper to go hit E-lake. Let see if any of you can guess where these pcitures were taken at. There are both in Utah
Here is a picture of my daughter at her favorite place to camp and she wanted to go camping here this weekend instead of the e-lake.

I would have to guess Topaz Mtn on the first one...been in that area many times. Great place to take the kids. The second picture could be in the Moab area, and did you have a special filter on your camera for this photo??

Both right on the 1st one, Good old Topaz Mnt. My kids love it here and will spend all day long on the mnt looking for topaz. Both of you are close for the general area on the 2nd. It is Little Wild Horse Canyon by Goblin Valley. It is one of the Slot canyons and it is has some very intersesting rock colorations and formations. Also I did not use a filter it was the way the light was coming through the canyon. Thanks for playing..

It is good to hear that there is another Topaz mountain afficionado on the board. I know the exact spot that pic was taken! Have you found any red beryl up there? Also, have you had a chance to chase the grayling yet?

I have not found any Red Beryl but I am still looking, have you found any? We ussualy hit Topaz in the spring and late fall when it is nice and cool. We also like to go down the road aways and look for Apache Tears and then also out towards Joy and look for Agate and Jasper. They love to Rockhound.
I have not had a chance to chase the greyling yet this year, I am still trying to find a time for a trip.

Yes, many. The best beryl areas are north of the location on the picture you posted, but on the same side of the mountain. PM me when you are making a trip, and I will provide more exact details.
