[cool][#0000ff]Hey gang, I just found a cool site that had some animated knot tying instructions. Here is a copy and paste. Note: You can click on any of the small pics and they will enlarge for easier viewing.[/#0000ff]

[#ff4040]Thanks TD for the knot help. It's always better to see the knot tied rather than just pictures showing it.[/#ff4040]

Cool! Was there more? One time at the fishing show I saw a guy showing me a neat trick on tying the line to the lure. (It has been a long time ago) He looped the line thru the lure then pulled it abut two foot apart then while it is at two foot he moved in to catch the line from the other side then start spinning it in a loop three times and last pulled on the line, he's done! Line was tight to the lure and clipped the loose line closed to the lure. (Kinda dangerous trick while the lure is spinning in front of you in a big arch)

[cool][#0000ff]Glad you liked it. With everything that is available on the Internet anymore, it is easy to find lots of websites with just about anything you want. To find more good knot tying sites, just put "fishing knots" in your search engine and start checking out what comes up.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Modern technology (moving demos) is being used by several of the sites, to show how to actually tie the knots.[/#0000ff]

[#505000]That Duncan loop knot is my all time favorite. I use it for almost everything. It holds really well (I've never had one come undone) and it's a piece of cake to tie.[/#505000]

Hey TD,

Oopsie ... It looks like the link for the Rapala knot is the same as the one for the Duncan loop knot(sometimes called the Uni-knot). Or, the original website has them ski-wampus. The way I learned them, The Duncan/Uni-knot and the Rapala knot are different knots.

[#0000ff]Hey, did you make it down to Utah Lake? I have been codgertatin' on a foul weather expedition to ferret out some walleyes.[/#0000ff]

I aint shoot the messenger, I was telling him to duck.

Yea, I made it down to UL, but the weather was balmy and the water was glass like and pretty warm - no cat/eye action at all - just carp. I was going to post something but I thought I should wait until the bully, bash and belittle boys subsided a tad more - no use making it worse by talking all excited-like about even more of the minnow family(cyprinidae carpio).

They's folks over there what seem to have a bit too much time on their hands from not fishing enough. They need more fish slime on their paws or something - instead of flapping thier fingers on that non-fishing nonsense.

Maybe a foul weather walleye fest would be in order.

[#505000]Holy moly!!! You said a mouthful there!!! By the looks of things the worst offenders have been "removed". Although I would check your tubes for zebra mussles next time you all go out for fear of the posse hanging you from the nearest tree!!![/#505000] [Wink]

[#0000ff]Hey Bro, do I remember correctly that you work either for or near Novell? I heard they are doing some downsizing. If so, I hope you don't get splattered.[/#0000ff]

Yep, we just got through the splattering on Wednesday. I was not worried about my job, and I am still here, however we did lose 6 positions plus my manager here. Had to watch some very good friends leave the company. Life in the IT industry can be cruel at times. Then again, with the severance some of these guys got, a layoff might not be half bad, as long as you're prepared for it.[cool]
