Thats kind of a broad question, it depends on the water and how you want to fish. Stained water I'll use a rattletrap or anything that will make noise. Use dark colors in stained water such as black or blue. More lifelike colors in clear water.I will throw more jerkbaits during the fall, but I have better luck finesse fishing with worms as a rule. They don't always have the feed bag on.

This time of year live bass minnows do the trick, minnows caught in the lake where you are fishing is the best.
