Fished the berry 10-25 with Iceaddict3, the fishing was alot slower this week and more smaller fish were caught. I also caught a 12in. chub on a tube jig. we caught 3 cuts over 20 and a few 12in'ers.
no fish in the same spots as last week. one good thing, the geese have moved in and some big ducks. later chuck

how do you hunt it and fish? do you take decoys and blind material? or do you just wait for them to get close and shoot them? not that it matters to me- my boat is all winterized and in the garage. just curious how it all works up there. thanks, bkidder

WE TROLL AND WATCH FOR BIRDS FLYING OR FEEDING IN THE BACK OF LONG BAYS. IN ONE SPOT WE HIKE UP A HILL AND HIDE THEN SHOOT A SHOT OFF IN THE AIR. ALL THE BIRDS IN THAT COVE ALWAYS FLUSHTOWARDS THIS HILL AND THEN FLY RIGHT OVER IT. THATS THE FUNNEST WAY. YOU CAN TAKE DECOYS AND BUILD A BLIND NEXT TO THE WATER IN A FEEDING AIREA. THAT WORKS WELL ON CROWDED DAYS WEEKENDS.

THAT IS A FINE BIRD. MOST MALLARDS HAVE A DOUBLE CURL SOME A TRIPPLE BUT VER FEW ARE THE 4 OR 5 CURL. LIKE MY TWO DRAKES IN LIVING ROOM. WHATS FUNNY IS THAT THE 5 CURL BIRD IS NOT VERY HUGE.

Wayne were you thinking it was going to be a little cold up there? I don't usually were that many layers of clothing even when I'm ice fishing. LOL. I notice by the time you were leaving, you had shed a few layers. Looks like you and Chuck had a good day.
