Jeff, many thanks. Got enough info for now thanks given your great response from the other board. Just need to see what the rest of the Aussie crew are planning to do in terms of the show and then we can make some serious plans to do some of that So.Cal fishing, plus go to the boat party, that has been mentioned. Both sound like a lot of fun, plus being able to meet up with people and put some faces to names will be a real bonus IMO. The internet is a great and powerful thing, but not quite the same for me as sitting or standing around with people and having a "yarn" as we say down here. Look forward to doing that trip/show if things go according to plan. Will keep people informed on that as time goes by. I would also like to hear from other anglers who have been and what they liked about it. They tell me the FH Show is bigger than the movie "Gladiator" and has a cast of thousands. True? When you come from a country that only has 18 million fishing, sporting, boating, sun loving, swimming, surfing, golfing, sailing, beer drinking, chardonnay slurping, hard playing "fanatics" then going to a fishing show of this size sits a bit off the dial for me. Even so, I am sure we'll rise to the occasion in true Oz style if we make the journey! Burnin Thumbs! You better bring reels and stuff to sell.Since your exchange rate is so good you could probably sell quite a bit at the show

Steve, I had Bart Hall out fishing last week, he’s pretty much in charge now, aside from some Big Corporate Sponsors. He mentioned to me that they were open to Barter. You might be able to work something out if you get a guide or two to put up a trip, not sure your jigs would cover it… Get in touch with him & see what he says. From What I have heard over the years, it’s THE Show of Shows, the Long Beach one. He’s a pretty busy guy but has a good outlook at life & you would probably hit it off with him. When ya get more details on your end, give HIM a call. [ Smile

G'day Dan Not a problem and thanks for heads up. The boys at this end appear to have it fairly sorted it seems having spoken with them recently. They have already orgainsed a trip down here to go fishing for a grander or two, plus some other bits and pieces it seems. I hear the Long Beach Show is "the go" and we'll see what else unfolds over the next few months. have The Samoa IGFA Tournament and other things to be a part of first. Burnin Thumbs!
