Bear Lake 11-17-05

[font "Comic Sans MS"][black]I'll get right to the point … I was sorely humbled. Yup … I got skunked! Heck, I can't even say for sure if I even got a bite! [/black][/font]

[font "Comic Sans MS"][black]My nephew Ron went with me and he was only able to land one cut.[/black][/font]

[font "Comic Sans MS"][black]Checked out the rock pile for a while but couldn't find any fish. Lost some tackle to snags. Then headed to the east side hoping for better luck. Again had a hard time finding fish. When we did they were between 85 feet and 100 feet deep but not very consistent. Got the cut at about 95 feet. [/black][/font]

[font "Comic Sans MS"][black]After several hours moving around on the east side, we decided to go back to the rock pile. At the rock pile we finally found a spot at about 55 feet where there was constant fish traffic. I thought for sure we were going to finish out the day with some fish … but nada. They refused to take anything we had to offer.[/black][/font]

[font "Comic Sans MS"][black]The water was pretty choppy (very choppy w/white caps) most of the day … especially the second time at the rock pile. Coming in towards the marina we were catching some major air. Slammed the boat a bunch and churned my stomach pretty good.[/black][/font]

[font "Comic Sans MS"][black]At the marina, we talked to some guys in a Custom Weld that said they had caught 10 trolling. Didn't say what kind, how big, or where. [/black][/font]

Hey coot hows it going? That was good meeting you Saturday. Ya that was me Thursday I waited until you guys left beleive it or not to make sure you made it back ok. You are definently a die hard. []
We caught 10 fish total all cuts the biggest 5 lbs. 8 were caught on the east side two on the west. I seen you catch a little air I did so myself on purpose just playing with the boat. That sure was a ruff day for trolling. At least if your jigging the W will jig it for ya.
