We arrived in South Dakota on the 10th of this month. Its better than I thought. Although much of the area attractions for the kids are closed for the season, there is still a lot of stuff to do. Our first weekend here we went for a drive in the Black Hills and into Custer state park. Man, I couldnt believe all the wildlife we saw. Utah was nice, but I never saw such a wide variety and numbers like I have here. Here are some pics we took while driving around Custer Click Here. Even on the base there are deer roaming everywhere. I am going to start reading some stuff on Turkey hunting, I heard its a great time. Havent been able to get a line wet yet either. Been up to my neck in boxes and its a pain in the butt unpacking them all. Everything has been in storage for a year so its "unpack box into dishwasher or washing machine, wash and then put away in cupboards or closets", then repeat process!
So anywho, I'm back in the US.
Hope you all had a good turkey day

Nice that you are getting settled in. So Dak isn't a bad place to be, especially if you like to chase birds! Thanks for dropping in.

South Dakota is one of my favorite places to visit. Hopefully, in some of those boxes you find your Long Johns, you will probably need them! Hope you and your family enjoy yourself.

oh boy!!!! Looks like I better get my gear unpacked and checked out!!!!!!!!!!
Yea, Ellsworth is about 10 minutes east of Rapid city, about 45 minutes from Custer State Park and about an hour or a little more from the town of Custer.
