Winter Fun at Lillabelle Lake Resort
The winters are long in the James Bay Frontier but the northern pike don't seem to mind. Lillabelle Lake Resort is the ideal spot for this winter's ice fishing excursion. The lake is immediately adjacent to our lodge so it is no problem to pull an ice hut onto the lake for you. We can provide you with a hot or cold lunch at a reasonable cost, show you the good spots, bore your holes, clean your fish and have warm or cold beer waiting for you when you are through. During the winter, we offer ice fishing, guided snowmobile tours, winter camping, and numerous other winter activities to keep winter lovers happy. If your winter preferences don't include sleeping in a snow hut, you can stay in one of our comfortable housekeeping cabins.
Our area also has spectacular displays of "Northern Lights" during the winter. During March, Mattice hosts the Missinaibi Winter Carnival. This fun-filled carnival is one of the largest in Northern Ontario.[/center] [center] [/center] [center]
