ST. PAUL, MN—The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is currently accepting public comments on a project aimed at improving habitat for brook trout and other cold-water species in Old Mill Stream in the state's Washington County.
The project, scheduled to begin early next year, involves building a new 1,700-foot meandering stream channel tributary to Old Mill Stream. As required by law, the DNR has prepared an Environmental Assessment Worksheet (EAW) that details the environmental effects of the restoration.
