Most definitely. We usually only see these kind of temperatures when we get socked in with a temperature inversion in January or February. It's early December and there is no temperature inversion set in. It shouldn't be this cold yet. There was a ton of fog on Hyrum Res' this morning because the water is so much warmer then the air. It isn't going to be long before it's solid at this rate.
I looked at some other weather stations in Cache Valley this morning and it was -9 in Logan, -7 in Mendon, -7 In Hyrum, -4 in Smithfield, and -10 on Logan Peak. When there's a temperature inversion set in, the Logan Peak low will be significantly higher then the Logan low.

-20 this morning at Jordanelle and there was so much steam coming off of the water that you couldn't see the surface of the lake from the road.
