THERE IS A POST ON THE DIVISION WEBSITE SAYING THEY ICE FISHED AT MUD CREEK LAST SATURDAY ON 2 1/2 INCES. I HADNT HEARD ANYTHING ON THIS BOARD ABOUT ANYBODY FISHING UP THERE YET. IS IT A BIG SECRET OR IS THE SEASON UPON US? I ASSUME MUD CREEK AND CHICKEN CREEK ARE THE FIRST TO FREEZE UP WHAT ABOUT THE BAY JUST OUT FROM THE MARINA IS IT USUALLY SOON TO FOLLOW? ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

[cool]Yes, the marina usually follows Mud Creek and Jakes Bay. They usually freeze up about two weeks before the Marina does. The marina usually offers great ice fishing for about the first three weeks or so right after it freezes. Then after the masses all get out there for a couple of weeks the fishing then goes down (on weekends anyway-still decent during weekdays).
