Since i have not received my Brass Balls in the mail yet, I figured i would give it a another week or more before i tried any hard water fishing. So i took a drive up to Porcupine to see how the Ice was progressing. The lake is still open water, with a very i repeat very small section of ice at the Dam. Temperature at noon was about 18 degs.

Good info to know. It is generally one of the last lakes to freeze up. It is up out of the cold inversion of the Cache valley, plus it is fairly deep. Shouldn't be long though. Thanks for the update.

Thanks for the update. Porcupine is my favorite fishery for Kokes. There is nothing better than smoked kokanee and cream cheese on a bagel.

The roads were hard packed snow all the way to the top of the dam. Looked like it had seen alot of traffic, possibly even plowed at one point.
