Anoka, Dakota, and Goodhue County waters closed to car/truck traffic

[font "Estrangelo Edessa"][black][size 5]As of today (Jan 24, 2006) , all lakes in Anoka County are closed to car / truck traffic by order of the Anoka County Sheriff. Snowmobiles and ATVs are still allowed - for the present. Questions should be directed to the Anoka County Sheriff's Office - 763-323-5020[/size][/black][/font]

traffic. [/size][/black][/font]

In addition, the Goodhue Co. Sheriff has closed (to cars and trucks) their portion of Byllesby Reservoir, in conjunction with Dakota County,
and also Frontenac Pond (in Florence Township). [/size][/black][/font]

As of today Anoka, Dakota and Rice Counties have banned cars and trucks on their lakes. Goodhue has banned them on Byllesby Lake and Frontenac Pond.
