is there still enough open water to get a boat on the lake anybody know. if so how's the fishing.

[cool][#0000ff]As of last weekend the main ramp is plowed and open. Open water across most of the lake, although there is a cap on either end, and around the island. You can fish on 4"to 5" of ice around the island, but not much happening. I am guessing that with a boat and sonar you could find where the fish are hanging out and catch a few. Lots of good rainbows and a few browns were showing up for awhile but not many reports lately.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]If you want both open water and some trout action, you may want to consider Jordanelle. Easy launching off the PWC ramp and lots of trout all over the lake. Most are under 16" but some bigger than 18", including some hefty browns.[/#0000ff]

As of the 8th even that open water around the PWC was getting smaller..
