[Image: cisco.jpg]Cisco are showing up on the Rock Pile at Bear Lake. Serious spawning activity should begin within the next few days. Next weekend (Jan. 24) may be the best time to go after them. The lake has open water and conditions may be very cold, particularly early in the morning. Look for cisco at first light around Cisco Beach, the Rock Pile and the State Park marina. You may be able to get some using dip nets but you'll probably do better jigging. Lake trout and cutthroat fishing usually slows during the cisco spawn. Listen to the recorded DWR Bear Lake report for daily updates: 435-946-8501.
