[size 1]That one came up on the freshwater board too. There is naturally the skepticism about the legitimacy of the fish.

There was only one pic taken of it and there were no officials to verify it.

Look closely though. It does look like some beginner photo shop chop on it.[shocked] [/size]

They got 'skeered when they saw the pic of my bass[Wink]. Whether you agree with it or not, it's gotta' take big set of brass bullet weights to let that one go. I'm not sure if it was me that I would do the same.

I'm going to have to get another pic, you guys are making me look bad. Is that one of them Cali trouts?
It's kind of funny that you put that up there, the other day I was looking at the "Catch all species list" (or similar) and saw that pic.

Yes that is an official Largemouth Cali Trout. This one is an 8.5lb. The one that I put up on the other area was a 10lb.

I was on a roll that day. I C&Rd a 7 1/4, 8 1/2 and a 10lb in about 20 minutes time. It was a fund day to play with the toys. I put the toys back when I was done.[cool]

sounds like you had one heck of a day in the play ground. when I lived in san deigo I fished lake miremar quite a bit in the early to mid 70's. here's a picture of my cali. largemouth bass. you can see that I taped a dollar to the side so you can see just how big the girth of this fish is. later chuck
