First Trip
*********************
My wife and I went for a ride up American Fork Canyon, I found Tibble Fork had open water so we stopped. I fished for an hour had one strike on a gold/red Super Duper. No fish caught.

Second Trip
*********************
After the kids got out of school asked if they wanted to them fishing only Ivy wanted to. So Ivy and I ran back up to Tibble Fork to try our luck.

Ivy was fishing with Salmon Eggs; I started off with the Super Duper again. I ended up trying several different lures Kastmasters, Spinners, and Jigs with no bites.

We could see fish suspended a couple feet under the surface. So I threw on a worm and suspend in about 5' under a bobber. With in seconds I was getting bites. We switched Ivy's rig so she was also suspended under a bobber and she started getting bites.

After a few missed attempts I finally hooked up with the first fish of the year.

Ivy decided to switch to worm after a couple misses on Salmon Eggs.

The fish were just nibbling on the eggs and were eating the worm. She had a couple of more misses on worm before she hooked up with her first fish of the year "Rainbow Trout".

Ivy ended up with only the one fish, but she took home the biggest fish prize. I ended up with 5, 4 rainbows and 1 cutthroat. We had a good time.

I know how you feel about the wallies! Looks like everyone had a good time catching fish.Consider that practice for wallies![Tongue]

If a 25 inch walleye put up as much of a fight as a 16 inch trout, I'd be more exited about chasing them.[Tongue] Anyway, I'll put in my walleye hours when the streams and rivers go high and muddy.

Sounds like a fun little trip. I've never been to Tibble fork, but it looks like a pretty little lake.

What i like about the walleyes is the chase and not the fight. They dont fight as hard as trout do.Its harder to catch walleyes than trout .Also walleyes to me taste better. As for fighting fish nothing beats catfish on light tackle .Also i prefer to eat cats than trout they make good jerky and smoked meat.
