I stopped by the Benson Marine on my way home from work yesterday to see if any crappies were hitting (they weren't) so I decided to see what Newton Res. looked like. It is within a couple of feet of full and still has an ice cap on it, but was getting some open water around the edges. With any luck and if there are any fish still in the lake (I'm sure there are) it may make a come back. It may take a couple more years to happen but has a good start by filling the last couple of winters.

Great news for sure! It really took a beating through the drought. I hope the next few winters will treat all of our ponds well.
