Clear Lakes -Report
#1
Fight4Not and I made a quick trip down to Buhl on Thursday. When we called the club house we were told that it had just been stocked with "600 4lbers". It did seem like it had just been stocked but the fish turned out to be more like 12"ers. It was still fun to get out in the tube. We caught about as many as we could stand. Three different times during the morning I caught doubles. We also fished the little stream that comes out of clear lakes. We caught a whole bunch of the same sized fish and decided to leave around 2:00. On the way home we stopped at Springfield Res. We fished it for a couple hours with zero action. Over all it was a fun day and it felt good to be out in the tube/pontoons.

Thanks for the report. Catching hatchery trout sure can be fun and great practice. April and early May are the best months IMO to fish for hatchery trout in the SE region. If you go on the right day you just can't keep them off your hook.
I was also skunked the last time I fished Springfield.
