Wiper Tournament Registration Open and Update Information-UPDATED 18 MAY 2006

Although we still have many I's to dot and T's to cross we have opened registration for the 2006 Wiper Tournament. This way we can start to get a solid idea of how many teams will be fishing. The idea this year is that we will cap participation at 45 teams but depending on a couple factors we may open a few more spots. If you want to be sure to fish it please register ASAP.

We encourage all participants to check it daily because rules may be revised slightly, prizes and sponsors will be added, and we will use this board and that site to try to answer all questions.[/size]

We plan to update the team rosters daily on the site so you can see who you are fishing against.

Please be patient with us as we get everything together on the site because this year, as you all know, is a big jump in size for the event and there are some things still being worked out.

Please post any questions on this thread instead of emailing or PMing, so that all members can benefit from the answers.

Hello Pat,
You are all set! As long as you select the package you want from the correct box, we will recieve the code. The only thing you need to add (IMPORTANT), which you did, was [#ff0000]both[/#ff0000] team members first and last name and bft username. You are Team 2!

I have just registered but I did not put full names on at bottom page of who is fishing the event, here they are: Kent Davis (smokercraft) Bart Mckell (MJB) i have paid for the 35$ package, what one does he need to pay for..????? any questions let me know.

Hello Kent,
He can choose any of the options:

Mandatory- This is a tournament entry fee only.

Mandatory with Flag- This is mandatory entry fee plus a a flag for $9.99 off the regular price. If he dosen't want a flag he doesn't have to purchase one.

Mandatory and Big Fish- This is mandatory entry fee plus optional big fish pot. The big fish pot is optional but you can't win "Big Fish" if you didn't enter it. This is seperate from the tournament, your team can win tournament prizes if you don't do Big Fish, you just can't win Big Fish. The pay back on big fish is 100% of collected big fish pot (winner wins all entry fees). Big Fish is an individual side pot so only one angler wins it, not the team (unless you work something out with your team mate).

Mandatory, Big Fish and Flag- This is the same as Mandatory with flag but you are also in the big fish pot and you save another 2 bucks on your flag (save $11.99 on flag)

Just a heads up that tonights sign ups have been updated.

Please, if you have registered and have questions refer to your team number from now on (they are on the registration page). It will make this faster to identify everyone.

P.S. The Big Fish Side Pot is growing fast! You can visit the registration page to see teams and see what the current big fish pot is. We should have purses for places 1 through 3 and Biggest Walleye later this week when everything is figured out.

Have a question...I already signed up and paid for the 35 dollar pot and signed my name and my partners name on it. When I clicked on the 35 dollar box, I was expecting to pay for my partner's share... do I have to do another sign up for my partner or does that 35 dollar pot automatically sign up my partner? I don't see my name on the team list, should I be concerned?

I tried purchasing one of the two tone caps and entered the appropriate coupon code. The amount being charged after entering the code was not discounted, so I cancelled the order.

Yes, you do have to register your partners name again. That is how I did it.

Hello Guys,
Sorry about the coupon? Were not sure why its not working sometimes but for those it didn't work for we will issue the 25% refund today. As orders come in we will issue the refunds within 24 hours if the coupon didn't work.

On the registration issue, yes, each team mate will need to register or if you are registering for your team mate you will have to do the process twice. We will fix this for next year but since registration will probably be full in the next couple days we hate to hold up the process to fix that.

About half way in less then a day. Thank you for getting this done so quickly. It will help us get things finalized quicker when we know how many folks will be attending.

We have a couple minor issues. Please got to the registration page and check the team roster. If you see ??????? We need that information. If it is in (?????) its the user name, if it's not its the anglers name. Please refer to the Team number when emailing or PMing.

Had a problem with paying. Kept getting a return page that said something wasn't right. Re enter the code at the bottom of page. Then when it went through it said there was a problem and call PayPal customer service. I canceled everything and started over again. It took a few times but it went through.
