Toon Wheel
#1
[cool][#0000ff]I bought used and sold an Outcast Fish Cat Cougar. It was originally purchased by BFT member Henerysfork. He set up the wheel in the pics below. The first pic is his design, using screw-down hose clamps to secure lengths of 1/2" PVC to the foot rests.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]My design is quick to install and remove, greatly accelerating the setup and takedown process on the water.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]It utilizes two sections of glued PVC, stepped down from 1" schedule 20 (which fits over the foot rests perfectly) to the 1/2" PVC sticking out from the wheel. I could not find a simple 1" to 1/2" reducing connection. I had to use a threaded nipple. The key is to cut and fit everything so that there is about 1" of play in the completed setup. This allows for the sliding open of the connected setup...or positioning to push it together. You need a bit of space.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]The first step is to put both sides onto the footrests.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Next, push one side onto the 1/2" PVC attached to the sprocket on one side.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]You should have a small gap to work with in pushing the second side together.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]This is the completed setup. It is not glued, but will stay together by friction for enough distance to get your toon to or from the water. [/#0000ff]
