I bought a trolling motor rod that hooks up to the big engine.I installed the big engine part just fine but when it came to the trolling engine i have nowhere to put the clamps on it.Anyone have any pics or suggestions on how to install the rod?By the way the directions suck![pirate]

This is what I came up with, the toughest part was the fabrication of the mount to fit snug on the motor.
Good luck, if you need some more info let me know.

Your trolling engine is different from mine. Mine doesnt have anywhere to hookup the clamp. The one side of the rod screws right into the big engine perfectly . Gonna have to take a pic and post it maybe that would help .

It's easier to hook up the trolling rod at the front of the motors. I never have to remove mine, and I can tilt either motor any direction without having to disconnect. I have remote throttle, so I never have to go to the back of the boat to switch motors.

That metal clamp you have will have to be removed and you will need to make a bracket(90 degree) to either connect it to the control arm like Petty's boat or you will need mount the bracket on the front of the motor so you can mount the ball to it. Some boats can use that metal clamp but it won't work on yours unless you can turn it around and connect it different. You did not show a picture of how you have it mounted to your main motor. Hope you understand what I'm trying to say, someone might need to post some pictures though. Good luck.
