Hit the water at 6:00 and fished till 12:00. I got 10 bass all small, nothing over 14.5, Bobct got 8 with the lunker or 16.5 for the day. Watermelon w/ black flake worked for me as well as three with the slider I tried out for Dave T Clown. Bob worked his magic with creature baits and sencos. With all the rain we had sat. I was surprised we got anything, but the gods where with us today. Next week will be lower Bolton Lake.

Thats good to hear. I've never fished it. Any hot spots let me know. Smallies would be a welcome change of pace. Any bait that worked in the past would help too. Bobct has a tourney there on the 24th. So we'er going to scout it out.

i know a few things have changed there,a new subdivision was put in near the beach, and a few more houses were added, but i can tell you were i had the best luck.a white curlytail grub on a 1/4 oz leadhead work the best for me
i would try the dam near the outlet which would be to the right of the boat launch toward the beach
another spot was in the middle of the lake there is a structure,if you left the launch split the lake in half, keep a eye on the finder when you near the center you should find it.i could never figure out what it was, weather it was a old foundation or just a rockpile or old wood pile, maybe your tv camera can find out,
after that keep going to the other side there is a very steep bank ,right along the shore between the houses .
and the last was the cove near the hotel, and the bank along there back to the launch
i have been wanting to get back there and do some icefishing hopefully this year

That should keep us busy for a while. Thanks for the tips Tom. I'll bring the Aqua view.

one other thing i just remembered, the last time i was there, they had a size limit for motors.i think but not positive is 10 hp.so bring a bag and bag up your lower end.and use your trolling motor, that way you wont get bothered

Ya Bobct told me that too, so we'er taking his with the 9.9. He's doing the tincan series so they only use trolling moters. They don't seem to bother us with that moter.
