[size 2]I could tell that today was going to be a good day just by the sunrise.

The plan was to meet up with a friend of mine who has never fished before but he was a no show so it was Ivy, her friend Quinn and I. We drove over to the west side of Utah Lake and fished the Saratoga Springs Marina. It took about an hour before I hooked up with the first fish of the day and the first Channel of the year a nice 25" male.

About an hour later I pulled his female friend out of the same hole 23".

Set her free so she could lay her eggs after that we only had a couple of bites we called it a day at 11:00.
