Henrys Lake update
#1
Fished with Gary Walker of Twin Falls this morning with great success. Gary got a 14 pound hybrid that went to the taxidermist and we had three other huge fish on. At least one of them was larger than Gary's. He has fished with me for over 35 years and today was his best ever large fish day. We only took 11, but boy did we have fun.

Friday we took 23 and on Saturday we took 27. That is fishing both morning and afternoon.

You have to search for the scattered pockets. We found them around Duck Creek, the Blue Roof Hole, A-Frame Bay, Phils Hole and off the County Boat Dock.

The best flies have been the Bead Electric Black and the Brown CB early in the morning and late in the evening. We then have been using the olives and greens during the day. Today's best fly was the Light Olive Crystal, the Beat Gold Olive and the Bead Peacock AH. The damsels have slowed down with the crappy weather, but the fish still want them. They are feeding on scuds on the west side of the lake and caddis larvae on the east. The caddis is hatching around Targhee Creek right now.

Search for rising fish and work the fly deep. I am using a Wet Cel III line most of the time, but sometimes use a Wet Cel IV.

Hope this helps.
