PWC & SKIER DETERRENT

[cool][#0000ff]I finally got around to painting the shark jaws on my tube. It took me awhile to decide upon what paints to try. I decided to try two kinds...the first (red) is a spray paint available in auto parts stores for painting vinyl and carpet in cars. (see pic) I cut out an outline, masking taped it to the tube and sprayed the red mouth with that paint.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]The other two paints...white and black...were small squeeze bottles of fabric paint. I would squeeze out a bit and use a brush to paint in the teeth and then the black outline. [/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Both paints applied fairly easily and seemed to dry quickly. I want to try them on the water to test the durability and longevity, but I think I have satisfied myself that "customizing" tube covers is doable without hurting the craft. I checked my urethane air chamber and it is not painted through the fabric.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Next shot is to do the purple, red and yellow flames for TubeBabe's tube. Yeah, I know. Yuck. But, she likes purple.[/#0000ff]

Good job. I like it. Maybe I'll wait to see some other experiment before I get too hasty though.

[#0000ff]Wait 'til you see the second deck I am adding on. Lots of room for the BBQ, entertainment center and walk-in refrigerator and freezer. The tough part is getting from the first deck to the second, and having to take the fins off to walk into the cooler.[/#0000ff]
