well i thought by this time the bass wouldnt be hittin top water well today i just figured id try and well i dint catch any but i had one had to be about 6 pounds come up and jump at it but he missed well i might go back out tomarrow and try again

Welcome KingsinthaSC to the BFT message boards!!!!! What state are you fishing in? Lately, the guys around here have been doing very well on suspending worms retrieved very slow, letting them submerge a foot or two and giving them a twitch.

As far as the bass goes, get yourself a white zoom worm, or a suspending worm of your choice with a fan tail and rig it with a hook only, no weight. Toss it out along the bank and work it very slowly. You should have pretty good luck with that. No matter what body of water you're fishing. Waccamaw, pee dee, etc...

Mmmm, if you're just fishing small ponds, like golf course ponds and such, get an ultra lite spinning set up, spool it up with 4 pound line, and get a Rapala floating minnow. No matter what small pond you go to, those seem to be the candy that gets the job done.[cool]
