where at pineview - wanting to learn?
#1
I finally got my new boat on friday and headed up to Fontenelle, since I am from Wyoming originally but due to the 2.5hrs+ drive it will not be where I am mainly fishing. I am very interested in the musky at pineview and have read a lot of posts on the site. I do need some assistance with two things initially: Where is cemetary point (where can I get a map of the lake) and which boat dock is best to put at in when fishing for musky - usually will be putting in early (pre 7am) or taking out late? Thank you in advance for your assistance.
Also if anyone would like to give me some initial info and direction on fishing Pineview from locations (I have seen nomoose's post from last year) to set ups (including how you are rigging things up to the gear to the hardware) it is greatly appreciated. Hope to see some of you on the water in the near future.

You can get a fishing map at any local Sportsman's Warehouse, or order from www.fishnmap.com

Although you hear of certain spots where people are catching fish, there are fish all over. The key is finding where they're at in the water column.

Make sure you're up on safely handling these big fish: http://www.wildlife.utah.gov/fishing/tiger_muskie_tips.html

Well, I tried and all I found was one big swirl on my 4th cast of the morning - from there it became a game of cast and reel, troll, cast and reel, troll, jig, cast and reel....tried all I could think of - found a lot of fish in about 25=30' of water about 17-20' down but couldn't figure out how to get 'em to hit and I threw everything I knew of at 'em....1st time skunked in 11yrs...PAINFUL!
I am new to the utah fishing scene as I am from Wyoming and until last week I had always went back to Wyoming to go fishing but with the new boat I figure I have to have someone closer so I can run up in the mornings before work.
If I would like to try and have consistent fishing trolling rapalas and other such baits what lake in Northern Utah would you recommend? Thank you for the info.
