My tube and fins are on the way, I was looking at a bunch of rod holders and other accessories and most "appeared" to be easily homemade. Maybe it just looks that way? Maybe you got ideas and pictures of what you have made, that works as well or better than commercial?

Thanks Tubedude, I just spent quite a while at the picture board. I got some ideas and i'm gonna go work on them in the garage now. I see Tubebabe has a flat blue platform on her tube in front of her. What is that? I tried to put that same picture, that I saved, here, but it said it was too large? I'm trying again, with it resized?

That is a rubbermade lid (or what ever make it is) Storage container lid. I hear she has a measuring tape and every thing on that. I bet she could even make fillets right there. Great idea.

[cool][#0000ff]Some tube manufacturers provide wimpy aprons. We have substituted the original mesh aprons for "rigid" lids from plastic storage containers. They make good solid work surfaces, for tackle tinkering, and they are safer for the angler when handling spiny fish. They also hold fly line well, with less tangling.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]By the way, we upload Jpeg images but when you try to copy them off the site they become bitmap images. Those are larger files. You need to use your photo editing software to convert them back to Jpeg.[/#0000ff]

Is the rubbermaid cover attached somehow?
In one post, you mentioned [#0000ff]nylon fabric line baskets, for line stripping.[/#0000ff]
What [#0000ff]nylon fabric line baskets can you suggest?[/#0000ff]
