Willard Bay 8/10
#1
Having finally found a woman who actually enjoys fishing more than myself - and is willing to bet on first, biggest and most [crazy].... I decided to take her to Willard in the hopes of hooking her up with a Wiper. We hit the water about 5pm and at about six, her drag began screaming - fish on! After several minutes of fighting it without making much progress, I was asked if the drag was too light [Wink]... no, honey, they just fight like crazy!! Well talk about a Smile by the time it was landed!! A nice 19" wiper. The picture will attest to the grin! Oh-oh.... I lost first fish contest and was probably in danger of losing biggest too... better go for most. Trolled around for a bit more and decided to cruise the shoreline looking for boils... didn't take too long and we encountered our first one - but - no surface lures!!!! The bad part of having multiple tackle boxes! We managed to get a couple hits and she landed about a 2 lb kitty but no more. Didn't matter - mission accomplished - first wiper had been had... I wonder what I am going to have to do since I lost first, biggest, and most [pirate].

[cool][#0000ff]Hey Jim, you are lucky to have a fishin' buddy like that. I got one too. [/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]I'm betting that the only reason she whacked you on the first wiper trip is because you are smart enough to know that you better let her have a good trip. Sometimes it is hard for us to remove the hooks from our lures...or shake fish off...just so we don't blow it and win all the bets.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Once she has become more experienced at wiper fishing, and you can make the trip more about YOU, then it's game on. Turn it into a real contest. Only problem is that the stupid fish sometimes don't cooperate and the lady wins anyway...even when you are supposed to.[/#0000ff]
