lost a dear fishing friend
#1
To all that read this,
I am not looking for any sympathy or anything but just want to let all of you know that a dear friend to myself and to the access/facilities to all of the lakes in the northwest region of Utah has lost. A dear dear fishing buddy of mine died last night of colon cancer. He had battled the disease for aout 5 years now and it finally overcame him. This persons name was Jay and he also as I do worked for Utah State Parks. He was not a Ranger but was a Maintenance/Construction Supervisor. In essence what he did was build/supervise the construction of the facilities that you and I all have at the state parks ( Willard, Hyrum, Bear Lake, Utah Lake, Jordanelle, etc.). So next time your at one of these parks please catch a fish for him and thank him for all that he has done for you at these parks and the places we fish. This is more of a tribute to him.

Thanks
Jeff

Man, I hate to hear this kind of stuff.[unsure] He sounds like a great guy and a close friend. I chose to beleive that he's doing great in "the after life" and is with his good friends and animals and is happy looking down on another good friend.

Thanks for posting this. I appreciate those who work in the service of the public. Too bad that colon cancer is so mean to some good folks. But I guess that is just part of life ... too much any more. My sympathy to you and his friends and family.

HE IS NOT LOST. YOUR FREIND IS WITH YOU IN SPIRIT. HE IS ON THE OTHER SIDE FISHING AND WAITING TO SHOW YOU THE HOT SPOTS WHEN YOU ARRIVE.
