5lb 25inches Cutthroat Trout Caught (Pictures Inside)
#1
Went up to Panguitch lake in southern Utah, with a friend of mine to do some fishing and enjoy the scenery. Coming from Las Vegas its a nice change from what we are used to. Within the 30min of being there i caught one of the largest trout ive ever caught, at first i thought it was a big Brown but later to find out that the lake doesnt have any browns but that it was a 5lb Bear Lake Cutthroat Trout 25inches in length. Here are some photos let me know what you think Smile

Hey Kurve,
I just editted your post to remove the checks from the inline boxes of your attachments to see if that helps Dryrod see your photos - it's just a little mystery as to why some people cannot see your attachments and others can.

[black]Panguitch is a beautiful place ! I try to get down that way at least a couple of times per year. That's one area that is like eye candy for the mind - the fishing can be good for the peace thereof too.[/black]

[black]Did you get out and hike or camp as well ?[/black]

no i would love to i mainly drag friends or my girlfriend up here to fish most never fished before and most end up liking it. I wouldnt mind coming up here in the near future and use my float tube and do some fly fishing, only problem i had with panguitch lake is that the algae is almost too much. Hopefully i can come up there soon or try to go to Kolob Res and do some fly fishing in the tube and do some camping for a few days or rent a nice little cabin for the weekend.

[red] You know my son took some pictures of me holding that Lake Trout in my avatar. The first ones he took had my face blacked out from the sun .[/red]

[Tongue][green]Hey there Kurve - didn't see neither a picture of your trout or an attachment. Where is it hidden? Since I am namely a trout fisherman although I wouldn't cut my line if something else took my lure, really wanted a glimpse of your catch.[/green]

Very nice Cut Kurve!

Real dark colors on that thing, I can see why you wondered if it was a Brown.
