Lafitte Report. Feb.15,2003

The redfish bite really turned on this week with the pretty weather.But that is going to change with this front coming in tonight.It will slow things down for a few days.Anyway spinnerbaits with the Electric Chicken H&H Cocahoe was the bait of choice.The evening bite has been better than the morning bite.On a scouting trip on wed. CaptBeau,Sean,Butch and myself played catch and release with over 30 reds over 27 inches.We did box 5 keepers for the grill from 18-25 inches along with a few flounder and a couple of specks.We were fishing some rocks over toward the Grand Isle side of Barataria Bay.Look for the trout action to heat up in Lafitte in March.
