East Canyon Report
#1
Went to East Canyon on Saturday. Half the lake is still frozen (by the dam area). The ice is still about 10 inches thick. Didn't see anyone fishing by the boat ramp area. We caught 6 that were approx 15 inches and 7 others that were approx 8-12 inches. Best fishing was between 8 and 10am...slowed down to a only few bites between 10am and noon. Found that the best fishing was approx 20 feet down. Getting off the ice during the warm part of the day, may require a running long jump or a 2x6, as the ice is quite thin around the edges.

Too bad we're stuck here at work today, it sounds like you had a good time at East Canyon. I think that it's your turn to take me fishing after you caught all those wipers on my boat last year.
