iceing E-lake today..
#1
finley I got back to the ice today.. went up the canyon to see what the lakes were like.. huntington had some guy's on it and cleveland looked like someone walked out punched 1 hole and walked back up the hill..
well we went on to E-lake seen that it had a hard top on it so gave it a go.. every year i rember after getting half way across the dam that, that walk realy sucks.. lol.. but not as bad this year with the water being up like it is..

ok well we did not get there tell around 1:30 and fished tell around 4:00.. fishing was good and fast like allways. we hit around 7 or 8 fish each. the fish were in good shape for E-lake cutt's most were 16 to 19 inches and were nice and fat..

jigg's tipped with minnows worked best.. sorry no pic's this time was to cold to take the camra out..

Is E-lake farther west than Huntington? We came up from Helper and i didn't see it or any of the others. Actually there were 2 but neither were e-lake.

ok not sure what your asking.. no E-lake is east of huntington lake.. it's west about 20 miles from huntington city..
clevland lake huntington lake and E-lake are all about 3 miles apart from each other on top of fairview canyon..

We came up the LONG way from helper. I have learned since we should have turned off where it said Manti. If we headed farther up the mountain from Huntington from the Helper side would we have hit E-Lake?

Electric Lake is East of Huntington Reservoir on the same road. Huntington, then Cleveland, then Electric Lake (the access from this road is near or at the dam).

see this is where you got me.. helper is in price canyon up by scofield. you can get to the back side of E-lake going past scofield headed to fairview and skyline. from Skyline you can get to the frount side of E-lake the way Kent Explaned. or from helper you would have to drive all the way to price then to huntington city then going to fairview from there to go past E-lake.. going that way you would follow the huntington river up the canyon tell you got to E-lake first on the right.. thats the dam side. next you would come to clevland res on the left about 2 miles from E-lake. next you would come to huntington on the left as well..

To avoid the confusion, it sounds like you came through helper and went to the town of huntington, then up huntington canyon. From that direction ( and yes it is the long way) You pass the e-la
ke dam (on right) as you climb out of the canyon before you get to cleveland (on left) or huntington (on left) The lake is not real visable from the dam locale in winter due to the snow wind plow mounds. You can acess the upper end of the lake from the paved road that links faiveiw/huntington canyons with scofeild. (also another way to go that is much shorter from hyway 6) If you come from fairveiw think the oppisite, first huntington (on right) then cleveland (on right) then as you drop into huntigton canyon the e-lake dam will be on your left. The first bridge that crosses the river is about 1/2 mile below the dam . Hope that helps

No thanks. I just had to get my ice fix out of the way and Huntington had ice. If i am going that far, i will go to daniels or the berry.
As for the map, I always thought that you just drove past Schofield and Huntington was right there. See what i get for thinking!
Maybe next year i will take you up on your offer.[cool]
