DURHAM -- The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department will hold a public hearing on proposed marine rule changes on Tuesday, January 2, 2007, at 7:00 p.m. at the Urban Forestry Center at 45 Elwyn Road in Portsmouth, N.H.
The proposed rule changes under consideration would affect:
* Issuance of trap tags in accordance with approved Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission Lobster Fishery Management Plan amendments or addenda.
* The legal length of lobster in Management Areas 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6.
* The reporting of lobster catch; harvest permit catch; and sea herring or shrimp processing activity; and
* Update of rules regarding residency activity.
