Gorge Ice Report

Took a ride to the gorge (Rock Sprgs end) yesterday. Buckboard is open water and the bay is froze over with about 1" of unsafe ice. The confluence is partially froze and unsafe. I saw people fishing Lost Dog out on the ice. I went farther upstream and found about 5" of ice but no fish. Anyone know if Rockport is fishable?

I live out here in Manila and I've been out fishin about every day this week at different spots and the ice is along ways from coming.
I went over to Sheep Creek and it was started in the inlet of the bay so it's not that far off there, hopefully.

Thanks for the Gorge info Crawler. I'm hoping to get up there after the first of the year and its good to hear it is finally starting to freeze. I read one report about Rockport but it sounded like the ice wasn't safe yet, that might have changed after this weeks cold temps. Maybe we will get a report after this weekend with some updates on Rockport and Echo. WH2

sorry I meant to say the lake area around manila has't started to freeze yet there a few people that I work with that fished up at half hollow that done real good out on the Ice.
