Planning on driving over to Weston in the morning to try some ice fishing for the first time this year. Do you think ice conditions will be an issue and where is some good spots to try. I fished there once last year on the south side just down from the dam and it was slow. Any info would be helpful. Thanks

Ice thickness shouldn't be a problem unless you need over a foot of ice to feel safe. I would guess the ice is 10"-12" thick but that is only a guess. It was slow the two times I fished it this winter. Take a look at the two reports I posted for a few tips. I've caught trout all over the reservoir. If you aren't catching fish, try a different part of the reservoir or a different reservoir in the area. The fish that you do catch should be nice ones. Good luck.
