Took my new fly outfit to Willow pond in Murray for a little pratice. Caught a few bows and a big SMB close to 16" and easily over a pound. What a thrill on a 5wt rod. It was great, I've been reading this board trying to pick up some tips on what to do when I finally got a fly rod, and it paid off on the first time out. I'm hooked and can't wait to get out again.
Thanks
Rob

It was on olive Wolley bugger. FFG, I thought the pond might have been iced over as well, I guess I lucked out. It was cold though, I don't think I got feeling back in my fingures untill late that night.
