Scofield Tourney
#1
Fished the Tourney today at Scofield. I think the largest fish was around 20". My friend and I caught around thirty fish between the two of us, with the largest being 16.5". We were in 24' south of the island. After reading a few posts about Strawberry being a fridgid
-5 this morning, I had to laugh. Those guys had it easy. At the check-in at Scofield this morning at 7:30, it was a toasty -18, yes minus eighteen degrees!

Sounds a little chilly! Too bad you guys couldn't have scored some bigger fish. I hope you had a good time though.

i fished the derby also and was lucky enough to catch the winning fish. we were on the east side in 23 feet of water. i caught about ten between 14 and 16 and the big 19.5" bow. it was a fun tourney and look forward to next years, the park guys said that they should get 200+ entries next year. i'll try to get the pics from my brother to post. at least you guys on the island got the sun an hour earlier than us- burrrrrrrrrr

we went to scofield as well, but did not enter the tournament. we took our snowmobile out for the first time ever. (just got it) without gloves or face masks, that was the coldest air we've ever felt. thank goodness we had an ice tent to settle into! fishing was really slow for us around the scout camp area. but, the snowmobile worked great and was a lot of fun!

MACMAN, Congratulations on the win. It sure was cold. We were fishing on the nw end, not far from the parking lot, slow for us. Look forward to next year's event. Travis

Hey guys it's a small world. I was there fishing the tourney. Fishing wasn't to hot for me. I caught a few but no big ones. I didn't know that was you Macman that one first place. I wish I would have known we could have done some B.S. in. The second place winner is Jason Wilkinson. Out of Mt. Pleasant. A good friend of mine. Third place was Tim Rock. He was a friend from my party. Can't wait till next year. They say the list filled in 2 hours. Pikeman GO FISH
