Spent the week of Christmas over with the folks in Naturita and took several members of the family on their first ice fishing adventure. We drove down to Miramonte res. several different times and once we found the fish on day two it was on! Everything was caught on a green tube tipped with meal worm. Here are a few pics to enjoy. I only wish they had more than the one species swimming around in there!

There was a good 10-12 inches of ice covering the pond with a little slush in some areas where the wind haden't blown the snow off.
The storms actually missed that area almost altogether. We got a couple of flurries but nothing to worry about. When I drove home to Utah on the 30th the roads were completely clear.
