Heavy snow conditions in the Masonville area will prevent the opening of the Storm Mountain access gate for the late elk season in Unit 20, starting this Saturday, January 6th through the 17th. Concern for road damage will prevent an opening for this season, however, hunters can still access the public lands on Storm Mountain from the access road near Drake in the North Fork of the Big Thompson drainage.
