CrappieKeith here telling all of you ice fisherman W.O.W.

We drilled them today with my jig and a spring bobber.
Just barely saw the spring twitch ,but enough to drive the hook home.
What a day!

you better not tell where that honey hole is, cause some one like me will move in next door...[cool]

those are some sweet lookin specks. I got a mind to pull my boat out of storage and go out after some this coming week.

man its been a long time since I have been able to get out on the ice. well over a year, as a matter of fact its been a year and a month sicne I last saw ice.

thats right I had ice on december 14th of last year and the next day rain set in and melted it all away... havent seen it since....

try as I might, I just cant be pure enough to walk on water. man I miss ice fishing......

I sware by spring bobbers as well, but I dont like any of the ones on the market, nor do I like the way any of them conect to my rod.

I make my own out of banjo string.

I have caught a number of one inch crappie on my banjo string bobber because it is so delicate the slightest of bit of lip sets off my spring.... That and a good quality line that hangs streight down with no curls.

I get a lot of twang for my bite [angelic]

No I have not.
I guess when T.H.E. Jig fills my limit I've not found a need to change.
I used to use all sorts of baits until my friend used to hand my butt to me everytime we went out,so I switched to his jig. Then he could not keep me in them so I learned how to tie them.

Excellent! Man, with all you guys flashing your crappie pics, I'm dying to eat some of that fish! Haven't eaten perch, but I do love crappie--kind of a poor man's crab...

hate when that happens,,,

I was out for a couple hours today,

I ended up with three 9 inch gills and one 10 inch red eye.

Ya, my batteries are still dead... I have to get out and pick up me another supply of copper tops...

we had a three inch snow fall last night, so I guess the bite was on yesterday afternoon, I will most likley hit the bite tomarow...

today we had a high preasure system over top, that tends to slow the bite down in my area.. but it was such a pretty day I could not stand sitting inside so I got on the water for the better part of the afternoon....

I forgot to mention, I like those berkley waxies..

wished I would have picked up some different colors in addition to the white ones I got last month..

I found I do have to excercise them a bit befor placing on my hook...
