another no ice report S. E. Mich.
#1
heres another fine mess, no ice in the second week in to january, I did a drive around and found a couple small ponds with ice, bearly enough to hold up the few ducks that were trying to get a leg up....

I had to come back and edit because I forgot to put in the local, most of you guys already know I am in south east michigan just north of detroit, but not all our readers do....

naw, your not rubbin it in, just throwing salt in to the wound...[Tongue]

I was down at my entrance site to day cleaning up the ice storm damage, we have about an inch of soft ice.

I figure by super bowl sunday... if the weather holds up. I might be able to hit one of the small ponds some time next weekend.

[black]Let me toss you a little lemon and tomato juice to go with that salt you just got there. Here it's below zero and I have 2-3 inches of snow in my yard - and it's been there on the ground for about 2 weeks. And, we got good fishable ice just about everywhere. [Tongue][/black]

the report is ice, we got sum, 0-4 inches
not a lot, just some, a few area are walkable, nothing is stable.

you people who see snowmobils racing across the lake, they are hydroplaining and if they stop in the middle of the lake they will fall though...

fish report, slow, but sure was great to get out of the house for a couple hours...

baits being used, minnow, waxies, mousies, spikes, and berkley artificial waxworms.

neither was better or worse than the other... I caught and released a good dozen or so... nothing big, just average eaters.
