Strawberry
#1
Ok some of you might think this is a dumb question but I am thinking about taking my 4wheeler to stawberry this saturday and I know it is thick enough and safe for them right now but what should I have with me in case I get stuck. I have ice fished there for years but this will be my first time on any machine on the ice, and I have seen many a wheeler get stuck by the slush monster. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I was up there last saturday. At Soldier Creek, the ice was about a foot thick, the snow was deep enough that a wheeler will get around, but not in 2 wheel drive, so if you don't have 4 wheel drive, don't take it. You can drive the road with a truck to the dam I suspect. We don't go that far, but trucks were driving to the rest room just south of the turn off.

I was there on the 20th, and we had wheelers with no problem at all. We "launched" at Strawberry Bay Marina.

[#ff0000]Fished Strawberry today and came home with the SKUNK. Very few coming through and they weren't interested! The ice was about 13 inches everywhere that I fished. Large pressure ridge east of The Ladders but caused no problems.[/#ff0000]
