Had the lake all to myself today. the fishing was fast for small splake, most being 5" bait steelers. caught several 10 to 12" snakes. peach color ice fly below glow/pink flasher tiped with wax worms or salmon egg. spent the day 20 feet from the shore and caught most of the fish a foot off the bottom.
The day was beautiful and sunny, would of been peaceful but for the diesel 4x4's on the road...sometimes I would have thought I was at a construction site. Annoying!

Thank for the report. Did ya mark anything suspended in the water column? Wondering if the kokes came through at all.

Thanks for the report.
I know there are some nice fish in there, but I just don't know if there is enough forage to go around. The last 3 years I have had the same success as what you reported. Small, skinny fish. [unsure]

[cool]Wow! You are still alive, James. Was wondering about you. Miss that fine tackle store you used to operate. Good fishin' to ya, and thanks for showing me how to slay the slimers through the ice a few years back at Lost Creek. That was a fun day, and the in-store clinic helped out a rookie, too.
