Went to Yuba 2-03-07 at about 3:30 pm. Fishing was pretty slow. We caught 8 smaller perch and two pretty nice rainbows, but it was still a great day to get out.

It must have been a great day at Yuba, I was at work thinking about fishing. Welcome to the board, where on Yuba were you fishing?

We were on the painted rock side towards the island, we caught most of them on white curly tails with a meal worm.

the north west side of the island was on fire last sunday when me and my boy went down!
tipping the jig with shiners was working best for us.

We hit Yuba yesterday and didn't find hardly any fish until we went over to Painted Rock. My boy pulled this one out putting the rest of us to shame.[inline "Yuba Perch 1.JPG"]

His uncle there pulled out a 12.5 incher but it was nothing compared to this one. By about one the bite just stopped and we went home about two.

now that's a hog perch now. wouldn't it be so nice if we could keep some of those fatties.
