Screw those "southern" waters. Go north young man, go north. Bear Lake should have safe ice for another few weeks anyway!

I just threw that out there to yank a few chains. It succeeded, and I didn't mean to shake anyone up too bad since I was kidding. But in the "BearLakeFishGuy's" book, any water located south of Strawberry is "southern utah". Obviously you can tell I'm severely biased for northern UT waters!
Now for my soap box thought for the day: I really dislike it when someone (not on this particular post) asks where to fish, or what water is fishing well. Then, when someone else responds, they say they "don't want to drive that far" or have some other lame excuse. If they want to know where safe ice is in "southern" UT or even "central" UT, then ask for that specifically. Don't ask for advice and then when you get it, criticize it! If everyone did this then there would be a lot less inflamatory posts, etc. Then again, we could all stand to grow our hides a little thicker too! [signature]

[cool][#0000ff]Hey...you tryin' ta start somethin'?[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff] [#0000ff]Might be a good thing.[/#0000ff] [#0000ff][/#0000ff] [#0000ff]Many people are "casual" and nonspecific in their speech patterns and in their way of asking questions. They know what they mean but are not always clear at articulating it. Then, when someone else responds in a way that THEY know what they mean, and the other guy didn't....[/#0000ff] [#0000ff][/#0000ff] [#0000ff]It's a lot like marriage. Anybody ever get accused of not asking or responding the way your spouse expected you to?[/#0000ff] [#0000ff][/#0000ff] [#0000ff]For the most part, I think we are pretty good about asking specific questions and giving specific answers. At least our members don't hold back from asking questions for fear of getting attacked by the "intelligentsia" who try to rule some of the other boards.[/#0000ff] [#0000ff][/#0000ff] [#0000ff]Now, if we could just do something about the "holier than thou" Bear Lakers.[/#0000ff] [signature]

[font "Comic Sans MS"][black][size 3]Don't go to Bear Lake. It's too far north and the ice is only an 1/8" thick. It's full of bubblers and the access to the lakeshore is non-existent. Besides, you read the other posts, there's nothing but suckers there![/size][/black][/font]
